Dr. Sicard specializes in vascular surgery and endovascular surgery. His areas of clinical interest include abdominal and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysmal disease; carotid, brachiocephalic and upper extremity arterial disease; aortic reconstruction of aortoiliac occlusive disease; peripheral arterial occlusive and aneurysmal disease; renal artery revascularization; portal hypertension; and venous disease.

Dr. Sicard is a principal investigator of a Core component of the Specialized Center of Clinically Oriented Research (SCCOR) grant on metabolic syndrome and vascular diseases in collaboration with the Department of Medicine. He also collaborates with the Department of Radiology as a co-investigator in an NIH-sponsored trial evaluating MRI plaque characterization in carotid artery disease. Dr. Sicard is the principal or co-investigator in various multicenter trials of endovascular treatment of aneurysmal and occlusive disease as well as peripheral arterial disease.
